Hello again! And welcome to another edition of the Museletter!
After having taken a leisurely summer to ourselves in which we have added new material and worked on our booking skills, we are ready to hit the road again!
First up is Indiana, where we will be playing in the Indianapolis area. “Why Indianapolis?” you may ask. Because it is host to Gen Con Indy!!! Many of you may remember that we performed at Gen Con SoCal in November. Well, we had such a good time, and the management loved us so much that we figured we’d try it again! Gen Con Indy is supposed to be 4 times the size of SoCal and therefore 4 times the fun! We’re looking forward to performing with a bunch of bands we know from the Bristol Faire, as well as seeing folks we met at SoCal and meeting new friends as well. As soon as we have a schedule we will try to post it. Meanwhile check out their website at www.gencon.com/2006/indy/ for more information. We will also be performing at several libraries around the area, all of which are listed below. After Indy, then to Minneapolis for a few shows around Tanya’s home town, including a return performance at the Chanhassen library! We had a great time there last December and we packed the house! (No really. People were sitting on the floor, the window ledges, the display table. It was great!). These shows are also listed on Pg. 2.
September and October will take us further east into Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. We are lucky enough to have been chosen to showcase at the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Festival takes place September 20th – 23rd. We’ll let you know the venue, date and time as soon as we hear it from them. Meanwhile we intend to soak up as much information as humanly possible while we are there! If there are places along our route that you think we should be playing, for heaven sakes! Email us!!! Let us know the name of the venue, the phone number and contact person if you know them, and what town the venue is in. We can always use the help of local guides as we’ve never been to some of these places before! We always enjoy performing for new audiences and making new friends and fans. Help us expose ourselves to your friends!!! (I mean that in the best possible way of course.)
November takes us south again to Arizona and California. We’ll be performing for the Mesa Arts Center’s “Out To Lunch” series and the Tucson Celtic Festival again. We’re also performing for the Greenfire Music Collective in Tucson, so join us there for our first time at the Lodge on Dodge on November 12th. All of the above shows, as well as any that we add are on our website and will be listed in upcoming Museletters.
--Continued on Pg. 2--
--Cont. from Pg. 1
December will take us back to Minnesota again. Right now we have the Hobgoblin Music Loft in Redwing, MN scheduled for December 9th. We’re filling shows in around that time, so again, if you know of anywhere we should be playing, please let us know!!!
January and February we’ll be heading southeast. We’ll keep you updated on where we’ll be as soon as we finalize things.
We look forward to seeing you all as we tromp our way across the country in our new Minivan, whom we have dubbed “Calliope”. Calliope is the Muse of Epic Poetry so we felt that it would be an appropriate name for the vessel of our epic journey. We’ll see you all out there!
